I have about 10.0 hours on my ATV. This is my first ATV (age 56). May be to early to make comments, but so far I have been very satisfied.
I hunt and fish a lot and purchasing the Hawkeye is one of the best investments I have made, especially since I am a disabled Vet. I feel very safe riding the Hawkeye; starting to fish and hunt more---going back to places I have not hunted in many-many years. I feel assured that the Hawkeye will get me in and out and as well take me through some of the swamps bottoms and slews I hunt in North East Mississippi.
So far the Hawkeye has not let me down, put it through one deep water/mud hole that scared me at first but the Hawkeye went through it with ease.
If you are looking for a mid-size 4x4 ATV that is a top quality performer, I recommend the Hawkeye. I did not buy the ATV to mud ride so I cannot comment in that area. I do a lot of trail riding as well as riding through the woods exploring new areas, breaking new trails.
Although this is my first ATV, as a x-auto and x-aircraft mechanic, I compared it to a lot of other ATVs. To me the Polaris is well built. The best feature I like is the on demand 4-wheel drive feature, gagues, and having the controls mounted on the handle bars. Also, for you hunters the Hawkeye runs quite.
Upgrades/Accessories: My planned ugrades are bigger tires, although the standard tires that came with the ATV performs well, a wench (add value, plus work aid, and as a just in case needed feature), and maybe a skid plate.
