Polaris RZR Lineup

While Polaris announced a power boost in its 2015 RZR XP 1000 and RZR XP 4 1000 a few weeks ago, that was just a taste test of the changes to the RZR lineup for 2015.

The Polaris RZR was the only 50-inch Sport Side-by-Side in the industry for years before the Arctic Cat Wildcat Trail showed up last year with nearly 10 more horsepower. Polaris has answered that challenge with the new 2015 RZR 900 ($12,799), which features a 75 hp ProStar 900 engine. The new ProStar powerplant offers more than 40 percent more horsepower and 15 percent more torque than the previous RZR 800 models.

2015 RZR 900

Other features include dual A-arm front and rear suspension with 11 in. ground clearance and 10 in. of front and rear travel, 26 in. PXT tires, stiffer chassis, stiffer steering wheel, quarter doors, flow-through tongue seat belt, larger 9.6 gal. fuel tank, LED floor lighting, blue back-lighted instrument cluster, center storage area, bigger glove box and standard engine braking, EPS and Turf mode on the RZR 900 EPS Trail Edition ($14,799). Newly designed seats with improved bolstering and more hip cushioning help complete the package. LE models will offer a driver-side seat slider for tool-less seat adjustment.

Also new for 2015 is the RZR S 900 ($14,699/$16,499 EPS), which is outfitted with the same 75 hp ProStar 900 engine, as well as dual A-arm front and rear suspension with 12.25 in. front and 13.2 in. rear suspension travel to go along with 12.5 in. of ground clearance. In addition to all the RZR 900 features, the RZR S 900 is also outfitted with eight-ply, 27 in. GBC Dirt Commander tires.

2015 RZR S 900

The RZR 900 will be offered in White Lightning and Polaris Pursuit Camo. The RZR 900 Trail Edition will be available in Black Pearl and Sunset Red. The 55 in. RZR 900 XC Edition ($17,299) with EPS, EBS, Turf Mode, 27 in. GBC Dirt Commanders on 14 in. Vader Rims, wide fender flares, FOX Performance Series – 2.0 Podium X shocks, 12.5 in. of ground clearance, LED Headlights, Interactive Digital Display and bowed doors will feature Stealth Black. The RZR S 900 will be offered in White Lightning with the EPS models including Havasu Red Pearl, Black Pearl and Titanium Matte Metallic.

2015 RZR 900 XC

Also new for 2015 is the first RZR mud machine – the RZR XP 1000 High Lifter Edition ($23,499). To tackle the mud, Polaris reduced the gearing for more mud-specific torque and added a heavy-duty reverse chain. To ensure the powerplant breathes, the unit features high engine air and clutch intakes and outlet. Other features include redesigned front axles, stiffer suspension springs, higher-clearance lower A-arms and radius rods, mud-specific Walker Evans shocks, 29.5 in. High Lifter Outlaw II tires and standard EPS. Polaris also equipped the vehicle with lower half doors, 4,500 lb winch with synthetic rope and integrated in-dash switches, rear-view mirror and a specially designed brushguard that provides higher access to the included winch. For added protection from muddy conditions and easier cleaning, the vehicle sports an improved drainage skid plate, custom powder-coated chassis, and sealed switches, fuse box and battery.

2015 RZR XP 1000 High Lifter Edition

For the desert community, Polaris is offering the 2015 RZR XP 1000 Desert Edition. This unit features high-clearance A-arms and radius rods, 18 in. rear and 16 in. front suspension travel, 13 in. of ground clearance and 15 in. beadlock wheels with 30 in. GBC Mongrel tires. Desert riding conditions can be tough so Polaris outfitted the RZR XP 1000 Desert Edition with a HMW skid plate, spare tire and mount and body protection. Six-point seatbelts, roof, PRP seats, cargo box and LED light bar complete the package.

2015 RZR XP 1000 Desert Edition

On the technology side, Polaris is launching a new Interactive Digital Display on the RZR XP 1000 Desert Edition and RZR 900 XC Edition. The full-color, 4.3 in. LCD display provides riders with vehicle performance, operating conditions, riding conditions and Bluetooth capabilities. The vehicle diagnostics displays fault codes and descriptions with some corrective actions. The GPS connectivity offers exact location information including elevation, latitude and longitude, compass and the ability to record the driver's route and save waypoints so the trails can be found anytime. The trail and mapping information also can be updated through RiderX.com to ensure the most up-to-date information. To stay connected, the display offers Smartphone connectivity through Bluetooth to view incoming texts, missed calls, phone battery life and cell signal strength. The new Interactive Digital Display also will be available as an accessory for other models.

Polaris Ranger Lineup

2015 Ranger 570

Launched for Model Year 2014, the two-passenger Ranger 570 ($9,799) offered a 40 hp liquid-cooled, single-cylinder ProStar 570 EFI engine. 2015 RANGER Diesel

Similar to the full-size Ranger vehicles, the full-size multi-passenger line also will have three power options in the full-size Ranger Crew platform. In addition to the 60 hp Ranger Crew 900 with seating for five, Polaris will offer the 40 horsepower Ranger Crew 570 Full-Size with seating for six, and the six-seat Ranger Crew Diesel.

In addition to the Model Year 2015 lineup, Polaris is introducing three new Deluxe Package Ranger XP 900 EPS models: the Ranger XP 900 EPS Vogue Silver Deluxe ($16,999) for the trail, Ranger XP 900 EPS Hunter Deluxe Edition ($20,799) for hunting and Ranger XP 900 EPS NorthStar Deluxe Edition ($21,299) for cold weather and work.
